Advising Korean Startups on Entering the US Market

I recently had the pleasure of advising a core group of Korean startups on all things marketing and communications as part of the Plug and Play GOAL (Global Overseas Acceleration & Learning) program.

What a smart and engaged group of company founders and executives, Jinsik Choi of GRASSMEDI, Inji Kim of sipswrl, Kyung Eon LEE of Archflow, and Yong Jae Kim of sharemelon. Plug and Play Korean cohort

Topics we covered included:

  • how to create more visibility on LinkedIn
  • how to build executive presence
  • the need for more strategic marketing
  • how to better understand the target audience
  • the importance of creating a compelling narrative that resonates with potential customers and investors

The energy and insight these founders brought to the table made for lively and productive discussions. While each company’s journey is unique, the lessons we shared are relevant to any international startup looking to make an impact in the US.
