Colleen Martell
CEO and chief strategist Colleen Martell is an idea-generator who’s always thinking about ways to connect clients with the right audiences, and how to put content to work in multiple ways and on multiple platforms.
Colleen uses her superior management skills to lead PR programs, projects, and teams for technology, emerging tech, and consumer tech. A tech public relations veteran, Colleen started Martell Communications after she determined that there was a better way to bring clients together with editors and analysts.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from San Jose State University and has taught courses in Media Writing for SJSU. Michéle Martell
Michele Martell is a rare commodity as a community, marketing, and legal strategist and implementer. Michele provides business strategy and implementation as an experienced legal, marketing, and business executive.
She leads issues management, research, and social media programs for Martell PR clients. With a background in entertainment and edtech as well as intellectual property law and a focus on innovative storytelling for every screen, Michele practices law in Austin at Martell Media House PLLC. She has been part of the executive management teams for The Jim Henson Company, Cinedigm Entertainment, SD Entertainment as well as WWE.
Currently, she is Co-Chair for International Association of Privacy Professionals Austin chapter; Board member for Women In Toys, Licensing & Entertainment; as well as Vice-Chair for the Entertainment & Sports Law Austin Bar Association; and serves on the Advisory Board for Women In Film/TV Austin. For 30+ years, she’s been writing everything from ghostwritten articles and white papers to press materials and social media content for organizations involved in every kind of technology imaginable. And having lots of fun along the way.
Lisa Figlioli
A consummate “connector,” Lisa Figlioli has a knack for helping you tell your story to media outlets that influence the people you want to reach. She’ll arrange the press tour of your dreams, place your opinion columns, and find homes for your success stories and technical articles. Lisa will make sure your trade show press-meeting dance card is full, your product-review program is in motion, and your speaking calendar is booked well in advance. In addition to her natural talents as a publicist, Lisa is also an experienced PR strategist and manager who develops, directs and implements campaigns, conducts communications research, and writes articles, news releases and other press kit materials.
Prior to becoming a consultant in the early ‘90s, Lisa held senior positions in four high-tech PR agencies — Miller/Shadwick, Franson, Hi-Tech/Shandwick and Jennings — and also worked in-house at Arthur Andersen, Intel and Boston University. Her clients have included some of the most innovative and well-known companies in high tech, such as IBM, Fujitsu, British Telecom, Sun Microsystems, The Learning Company, Advanced RISC Machines (ARM), and Xilinx. With her Martell Communications colleagues, Lisa has supported Amulaire, Analog Devices, Atmosphere Networks, Ayla Networks, Borland, Chiaro, Dolby Labs, Echelon, Etymotic Research, Mohr-Davidow Ventures, SVTC Technologies, Think Outside, and dozens of other technology companies.
Maddie Dugan
Maddie Dugan, communications manager, tailors social media and creative marketing campaigns to meet the needs of enterprises large and small, drawing on her keen creative eye and the fact that she is a digital native. At Martell Communications, she creates communications programs and social media for tech company clients, handles digital marketing for the agency and is part of the content creation team developing ebooks, blog posts, newsletters, video etc. Previously, she worked with NextTribe, an online women’s magazine, creating and curating digital media and advertising for the publisher and Passport2Good, a gamified charity-giving app, where she managed social strategy, brand voice, marketing campaigns, KPIs, and partner promotion. She also worked with American Greetings negotiating deals and licensed merchandise for seven titles including Care Bears, Madballs, and Buddy Thunderstruck with global agents and licensees. She has a BA degree in Rhetoric and Media Studies from Willamette University in Oregon. Maddie lives in Los Angeles.
